Description:The Main IC Switchboard typically located in the ship's forward and aft IC and gyro spaces provide distribution, protection, and switching of power and signal data to IC circuits located throughout the vessel.
Local IC Switchboards located in specific ship's spaces provide distribution, protection and switching of power and signal data for IC Circuits in this specific area. For example, a local IC Switchboard would be located in the Aft Steering Compartment to provide distribution, protection, and switching of power and signal data to such IC circuits as rudder angle ordering and indicating within the steering space.
