About Gyro Systems Company, Inc.

gyro systems crewGyro Systems Company, Inc. is a Virginia corporation located in Virginia Beach, Virginia established in 1971.

Mission Statement

Our mission began and remains to provide unique facilities, test equipment and fixtures, as well as the technical expertise required to accomplish depot level overhaul and repair of shipboard navigation equipment and systems.

Our Purpose

We have played a prominent role in US Navy, Coast Guard and MSC shipbuilding, conversion and repair programs for over three decades.

We specialize in the sale and support of older "legacy" hard-to-find ship's navigation and ship's control systems, equipment and parts. These systems, equipment and parts - in many cases - are no longer supported by the original equipment manufacture (OEM). A great number of the specialty marine equipment we support are in older US and UN Navy, MSC, US Coast Guard and foreign naval vessels.

We have developed over the years a large shelf stock of system and equipment parts ready for immediate sale to support ship's repair requirements.

Teamed with our export agent caliber sales engineering we are well equipped to support foreign naval vessel navigation and ship's control equipment problems with prompt, efficient handling of all import and export requirements.

In recent years we have been successful in the engineering and manufacture of converters and interfaces necessary to provide for the use of digital and computerized equipment with existing shipboard electro-mechanical and electronic systems.

We have an in-house marine system optical alignment team equipped and qualified to provide required combat system alignment.

Chesapeake Bay FoundationThe Chesapeake Bay Foundation (CBF - is the only independent 501(c)(3) organization dedicated solely to restoring and protecting the Chesapeake Bay and its tributary rivers. Since our founding 40 years ago, our goal has been to improve water quality by reducing pollution. Our motto, Save the Bay, has been the battle cry for that goal.

From the landmark EPA study of the Chesapeake Bay in the 1970s to Virginia’s comparable legislative commitment in 2005, CBF has been saving the Bay. Our vision is that the Chesapeake Bay and its tributary rivers, broadly recognized as a national treasure, will be highly productive and in good health as measured by water clarity, lack of toxic contaminants, and abundance of natural filters in the water and on the land. Read our strategic plan in our website to learn how we are working towards making that vision a reality.
